A Lotto game with a Christmas theme. Included are 6 boards and 15 black and white cards to copy, cut out and use for the game. Children can colour in their own boards to make them their own.

Here is a favourite poem I wrote and have used many times in class. Children will enjoy learning the poem. There are activities at the end where children can sequence the poem and match the numbers 1 - 10 to the relevant pictures. There is a grid for children to make notes which they can then use to write there own Christmas poem. Great resource also for an assembly where children can take a line each (or in pairs) recite their lines and show their own paintings or pictures - or use their own poem based on this idea. They will enjoy dramatizing the poem too. Share on the Smart Board or print out as posters / visual displays. Link with your counting and number activities.

A complete set of characters for this Christmas family starting with the grandparents, parents, children and pet. The flashcards can be duplicated, cut out and laminated, added to lollipop sticks to make puppets. There are 2 activity sheets included where children can write the names of the characters and draw or paste the family members to match the words. Page 4 is a sheet with 12 cross - curricular activity ideas for you to use along side the characters.

There are 2 versions of this writing frame for Christmas - one shows black and white pictures and one is colour. Children can talk about the things they like at Christmas using their senses and experiences e.g. what they like to eat or watch on TV. They can then complete the sentences or draw a picture. 30 colour gift tag outlines for children to cut out and make into Christmas gift tags. There are 5 pages with 6 different tags on each page. There is a blank template for children to design their own tags. The final page shows the tags with written greetings on. Cut out the greetings and these can be used on the back of the colour tags. Print or glue onto thin card for best results. Punch out the holes with a hole punch or sharp pencil. Thread with ribbon or string.

A fun way to encourage reading at Christmas. Each of the 6 worksheets shows a collection of simple riddles for children to read and solve. They then find the correct pictures, colour them in, cut them out and stick onto the riddle outlines. The finished sheets could be used as the basis for Christmas cards.
